At the start of DSRIP, we used a comprehensive Community Needs Assessment (CNA) to identify health priorities in our service area, which encompasses the greater New York Capital Region and includes portions of the Mohawk Valley, Hudson Valley, and Adirondacks. The CNA is a compilation and analysis of Census and public health data, as well as results from questionnaires, public meetings, and focus groups. Explicit attention was paid to Medicaid and uninsured members of our community, as well as various social, economic, and environmental barriers to achieving health.
Listening to the needs of our community first is a core value of ours. We never design a solution without the input of our partners.
