Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council

Since 1965, the Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council has been dedicated to helping our struggling neighbors meet their most basic needs and get on the path to financial security. We’ve built a strong network of programs and resources that address the wide range of challenges low-income families face including hunger, housing, child care, and language barriers. Our services include: Food programs such as the emergency food pantry, daily soup kitchen, mobile food pantry, rural food delivery and summer lunch; ESL classes and backstretch outreach at the track through the Latino Community Advocacy Program; Free preschool, including free breakfast and lunch, for low-income children through Head Start; Farmers market coupons, nutritional guidance and peer counseling through WIC; Heating and cooling conservation measures through energy services.
