Overview

The physician-led in-home paramedic visit deploys paramedics to patient’s homes to help address urgent (but not emergent) patient concerns. By addressing concerns in the patient’s home, with physician level decision-making aided by information facilitated by the paramedic, the goal is to avoid unnecessary emergency room and hospital visits, address concerns proactively to avoid health deterioration, and decrease unnecessary health care spending on more costly hospital services.
