“Resilience” Screening and Discussion

At this screening of Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope, learn how childhood toxic stress and trauma, known as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), contribute to lifelong, intergenerational health problems such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening conditions and discuss ways you and your community can intervene to address ACEs among our children.

A panel discussion with area experts will follow the 60-minute documentary.

Panelists include:

Kathy Alonge-Coons, LCSWR. Commissioner, Rensselaer County Department of Mental Health

Anthony Malone, M.D., Pediatrician, Capital Care Developmental Pediatrics

JoAnn Merriman, P.A., Capital Care Developmental Pediatrics
